A winner: Dr. Livinghome’s cool DIY TV stand inspired by Jonathan Adler’s Antibes collection
The April #StyleAtMine DIY challenge was co-hosted by four of our community’s most fabulous and creative ladies. Throughout the month, each of them shared with us an ingenious DIY tutorial with some of their favourite home hacks: Mette Jakobsen from Monsterscircus shared the coolest DIY fringe mirror; Janice Issitt from Janice Issitt Life Style taught us all about gold & copper leafing; Allison Sadler, founder of the Make it Sewcial community showed us how to make a right-on-trend macrame hanging planter in no time; and last but not least, Hege Morris from Hege in France showed us how to quickly transform a shirt into a cushion!
Such amazing inspiration got our creative juices flowing and the community showed off an unrivalled DIY talent! Luckily for us, each of our four competition hosts chose their own winner who will receive a lovingly put together DIY care package in the post. So without further ado, the winner are….
Mette lost her heart to this stylish and inspiring creation, from the creative lady behind Dr.Livinghome. It was inspired by Jonathan Adler’s Antibes collection of furniture. We think it looks just as brilliant and t’s definitely lighter on the wallet! For the step-by-step guide, hop over to Dr.Livinghome’s blog and pop on google translate if you don’t read Spanish!
Janice’s attention was caught by the marvellous IKEA hack of Daphne Be Frenchie who used IKEA cork trivets to create an oh-so-on-trend plant hanger! Read the full How To guide here.
Allison fell head over heals for Sarah Piede‘s beautiful textured DIY vases. We love how Sarah used simple modelling clay to transform old jars and bottles, and creatively put her screwdrivers to use to create the patterns! Hop over to her blog for the full tutorial.
Last but not least, Hege was bowled over by Ebom‘s minimal wooden shelf created with a simple plank and leather strap – perfect for displaying some treasures (maybe not the whole set of china though!). See the tutorial here.
Big congratulations to our four winners and heartfelt thanks to our brilliant challenge hosts!
Stay tuned for a brand new #StyleAtMine challenge in May!
