For October’s #StyleAtMine kitchen challenge, we are collaborating with the lovely Yvonne Eijkenduijn from Yvestown. A multicultural multi-talent, Yvonne styles, photographs, DIYs and bakes with pastel-perfect results. In her latest book, Yvestown in the Kitchen, Yvonne invites readers into her kitchen and that of her friends and family, where they share their favourite recipes and ideas.

Yvonne is co-hosting the challenge with fellow at{mine} founding member Karine Kong of award-winning concept store Bodie & Fou (who is also featured in Yvonne’s book!) for a doubly fantastic prize. The top ten entries will receive a copy of Yvestown in the Kitchen and the lucky winner will get a shopping spree worth EUR350/£250 at Bodie & Fou! To enter, simply upload your styling to the ‘My Kitchen‘ category on at{mine} by Oct-31  using #StyleAtMine and follow Yvonne & Karine.

Interview: Charlie Hunt of Soak&Sleep

Soak&Sleep - Girls bedlinen lifestyle

Since August on at{mine} is all about the wildness and general fabulousness of the kids rooms, we thought it would be the perfect time to take a step back to also think about some of the more practical aspects behind all of the wonderful contributions we’ve seen on #StyleAtMine.

The centre of every kids room is still the bed. And no matter if you are a colourful-prints or a monochrome-patterns person; when it comes to choosing the mattress, the pillow or the duvet, there are always so many questions that come to mind  – natural or synthetic? soft or firm? how many togs? what is a tog?!?

Thankfully one of our brilliant members is Soak&Sleep, an online retailer who makes (as its name might indicate!) bath and bed products. We caught up with founder Charlie Hunt to get some insider tips on choosing the right products, and talked about how they came to at{mine} and what they think of our community. Get the pen and paper ready, pronto!

kids room, atmine, StyleAtMine

August is all about kids rooms on at{mine}. The second edition of #StyleAtMine celebrates the cheerful, playful, stylish, wild and neat kids rooms in the homes of our members with kids. Peeking into those widely differing and truly charming and inspiring kids rooms, has tickled our interest to get to know the mum’s behind those rooms who have often weaved in their styling skills into designing their kids spaces. Thus we will be featuring inspiring mums from the at{mine} community during the entire month of August and interview them about their work, their kids, styling kids rooms and revealing their mum super-powers. The debutant of this month’s series of ‘mum interviews’ is German design blogger Eva of The Waldfrieden State.

Interview: Sara Tasker of Me&Orla

When we first started planning our inaugural #StyleAtMine bedroom challenge we immediately knew who we wanted to collaborate with: Sara Tasker of Me & Orla. We’ve long been admirers of Sara’s soulful aesthetic, and nobody does the crumpled sheets look we had in mind quite like her! Luckily Sara is as lovely in real life as we had imagined through social media glimpses of her life, and she made our dream collaboration a reality! We caught up with Sara to chat about her life&work, community hashtags and mama superpowers.

Interview: HeyMama

One of the best thing about our job as founders of at{mine} is to connect with likeminded creatives and entrepreneurs, swapping war stories, collaborating and supporting each other. So needless to say we were pretty excited when the fabulous ladies from HeyMama came knocking to introduce our communities to each other. Heymama is a curated community of creative, talented and entrepreneurial mamas.  Like a really cool club for mums.  We caught up with founders Katya and Amri to tell you their story. For our story, check out our interview over on HeyMama.

What is the idea behind HEYMAMA? How did it come about?

In the beginning heymama was about helping mamas find other women they could connect with over more than just being mothers just for friendship, but Katya and I soon realized what we, and the women we brought together, were connecting over was a shared passion for creative projects and entrepreneurship. These women are passionate about their families but also things beyond mother hood and they want to share this with their peers.  We started introducing these women, and hosting event to get them together.
